On October 16, Premier Li Qiang of The State Council held a trilateral Prime Ministers' meeting with Russian Prime Minister Alexander Mishustin and Mongolian Prime Minister Olyunerden on the sidelines of the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of Governments (Prime Ministers) of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states in Islamabad, Pakistan.

During the meeting, Li Qiang pointed out that China, Russia and Mongolia are geographically adjacent and share a common destiny. China is ready to work with Russia and Mongolia to follow the consensus reached by the heads of state of the three countries, implement the medium-term roadmap for trilateral cooperation, enhance synergy of development strategies, deepen policy communication and coordination. And it will be a good example of friendly exchanges and mutual benefit between neighboring countries. China is ready to work with Russia and Mongolia to focus on key cooperation under the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor, deepen multilateral cooperation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other platforms, share development opportunities and achievements, safeguard common interests, and jointly write a new chapter in China-Russia-Mongolia trilateral cooperation.

At the same time, Mishustin and Oyun Erden also said that under the strategic guidance of the three heads of state, the trilateral cooperation between China, Russia and Mongolia has been steadily carried out. And exchanges and dialogues in various fields have expanded and deepened, which meets the common needs of the three countries and regional stability and development.  Russia and Mongolia are willing to work with China to strengthen the alignment of the Eurasian Economic Union. The development strategy of the "Steppe Road" and the Belt and Road Initiative, speed up the construction of the China-Mongolia-Russia economic corridor in line with the key directions specified in the medium-term roadmap for trilateral cooperation. It strengthen cooperation in transportation, energy, culture and other fields.

The success of this meeting has not only written a new chapter in the trilateral cooperation between China, Russia and Mongolia, but also laid a solid foundation for the continued deepening of trilateral cooperation between China, Russia and Mongolia. During the meeting, the leaders of the three countries had an in-depth exchange of views, and further defined the direction and key areas of future cooperation. It will help promote the mutually beneficial cooperation among the three countries in the fields of economy, culture, science and technology. By strengthening communication and coordination and optimizing cooperation mechanisms, China, Russia and Mongolia will work together to meet global challenges, achieve common development and prosperity.
